The History (Central Point Location)
Life is filled with routines, and in many ways, dining is one of them. Most of us eagerly sit down to a meal at least three times a day, virtually every day of our lives. As a result, we eagerly appreciate a appetizing menu and friendly ambience. Whether fast food or slow, we want an experience that is somehow meaningful and flavorful too. Affordability is no small issue, and we particularly value the server who treats us kindly. We can make it all happen at home, but if a local restaurant meets those needs, it commands our attention. One of the Rogue Valley’s landmark eateries, The Old Farmhouse Restaurant in Central Point (formerly known as Road Runner Café), has inspired keen community appreciation through its long years of serving the public. This café was the first truckstop in the Rogue Valley, built in 1954. Although it is under new ownership and in business under a different name, it still recognized for its history as a family-owned and operated business. Friendly staff serving homestyle food, the restaurant has tripled their business in the last year, and plans to continue growing. The Cordova family plans to build a few more restaurants throughout the Rogue Valley over the next few years.
"Working together as a family, the Cordova's help meet for the needs of the community, and in doing so, characterize the heart of working America… small businesses like The Old Farmhouse reflect the kind of values that make our country great."
